Where Does Your Family Stand?

I remember when I was younger. Me, my sister and my mom would take a drive every night to enjoy different places in Vancouver. We would stop by at a McDonald's to enjoy the end of the trip. We were satisfied with the life we had.

Everything was lost when me and my sister grew up. My sister is now living with my father and taking all the requirements for her college. I am now working and living on my own.

It's hard to say but we are all too busy trying to achieve something so high. When I say we, it means everyone and not just my family. I remember a simple life as a child and how happy and content I was. Now I feel like I'm trying to chase a goal that seems great but unsatisfying.

I want to be successful but I also want to be to content. Why am I writing this post? This is not to tell you but to remind you that you have a family. Even if my parents are divorced, we are still happy with each other. I used to be consumed by anger towards my father but growing up made me understand his situation and I learned to forgive. I am still blessed with great parents despite of their separation.

What is the difference between contentment and success? How do you value one another? In order to be content, you have to succeed. Not knowing when to be content, is not knowing when you have succeeded. How is family related to this? Because of family, you have great supporters that boosts your limits. You are all there to help one another. In good times and bad, they are there.

True happiness is in harmony with your family. You all share the joy of life and the lessons with it.

Never let your goal cloud your family.
